From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills and international bestselling author Tia Louise comes a brand new stand-alone romance...
The first rule of office romance is don't do it--especially if your dream is to hold the anchor spot on the nightly news and your boss is trying to get you fired.
But one look at Cade Hill, the sexy new sports director, and uptight reporter Rebecca Fieldstone is daydreaming about other things.
Sex in his office...
Sex in the on-set kitchen...
Sex in the supply closet...
She can't stop thinking about the former NFL quarterback and how perfect he'd look between her sheets--except he's an arrogant jerk with a huge... ego.
He's the last guy she'd ever have a one-night stand with.
Cade Hill draws a thick professional line on office romance--until it comes to the hyper-focused Rebecca. He wants her, and he gets his wish when a chance encounter has them having the hottest sex of their lives.
It's just a hook-up, she says.
When can we do it again? he says.
With Rebecca determined to keep Cade in the friend zone, it's going to be an uphill battle for Cade to convince her he's the last guy she'll ever want.
THE LAST GUY is the first white-hot CONTEMPORARY ROMANTIC COMEDY from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise. It features Fireball-fueled hookups, Doritos Locos Tacos, attack monkeys, toddlers in tiaras, and one fabulous drag queen. Prepare for frantic clicking (or page flipping!) and smoking-hot sexytimes all the way to the out-of-this-world happily-ever-after.
MY REVIEW
I have read some of Tia Louise but this is my first from Ilsa Madden-Mills. I didn't know what to expect from this book beside the guy on the cover. Luckily, the story isn't heavy on sports because it isn't my thing.
Rebecca Fieldstone works very hard to be the weekend news anchor but she has no luck. Rebecca also has a bit crush towards the certain handsome jerk with nice ass, Cade Hill. But Rebecca thinks Cade earned his position as the new sports director easily because of his status. Office romance is definitely no for Rebecca but Cade is still in pursue until they couldn't hold their lust anymore.
Rebecca is an independent, smart and hard working woman. Even after many unfortunate events with her job, she still remains professional. Rebecca has amazing work ethic and deserved the position. But her hard-ass boss will never let it happen. Rebecca isn't perfect and that's why I easily liked her.
Beside his family drama (divorced parents, homophobic father and queer brother), Cade appears just like a regular rich guy. But he never show off his money. Cade also loves his work. Who knows an ex-NFL quarterback and golden boy earned his own degree. But Cade never let his eyes off from the certain feisty woman who is always in his dream lately.
I really enjoyed their banter. The tug-of-war between them are adorable. I liked the characters (main and side) to each their own flaws. The story was okay for me and nicely written. Maybe the minus is from Cade's ex because she's so damn handsyand accidentally kissed him twice and he did nothing to stop this crazy woman! Overall, this is just a steamy office romance with lovely banter and good laugh. Oh, also super steamy sex. Always love (non OTT) alpha male like Cade Hill.

Rebecca Fieldstone has seen my cock, told me off, cried on my shoulder, and then apologized. It’s the most personal interaction we’ve ever had.
